The Fundamentals of Fineblanking - Reviewing capabilities, tooling, and
tolerances
Fineblanking is a high-precision, near-net extrusion process developed in
Switzerland to meet the ultra-precision requirements of the Swiss watch
industry. the process was brought to North America in the 1960's and has been
expanded, refined and successfully applied to such varied components as
super collider magnet laminations, surgical scissors, faucet handles, and
construction scaffolding rosettes.
